Walking the Sharp Edge is a short film that aims to publicise the research paper of Ruth Patrick and Millie Light entitled - A decade on: Walking the sharp edge of the UK's social security system.
For this project, we were commissioned by the University of York, with funding from the British Academy, to direct and produce a short film to be released alongside Ruth and Millie's research.
We worked directly with the researchers and interviewees to create a script and visual style that everyone was happy with. The participatory nature of this project was a huge factor in its success as a film.
